Job Description
A healthcare system in Connecticut is seeking a licensed Nurse Practitioner (NP) and/or Physician Assistant (PA) to join their team in Hartford County. This role supports hospital medicine coverage across day, swing, and night shifts with opportunities to work in a collaborative inpatient environment.
About the Opportunity:
- Shift: Days, Nights or Swing shifts
- Schedule: Sunday to Saturday (ideal coverage is 7 on / 7 off)
- Hours:7am to 7pmor 11am to 11pmor 7pm to 7am
- Setting: Inpatient hospital
Responsibilities:
- Provide hospital medicine coverage for assigned day, swing, or night shifts
- Manage inpatient rounding, admissions, and ongoing patient care
- Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and residents as needed
- Support patient flow and coordinate care across the hospital medicine service
- Work within an Epic-based clinical environment and maintain high-quality, efficient care
Qualifications:
- Active NYS Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) license
- Board certification required
- Ability to work independently for night coverage when needed
Desired Skills:
- Experience in hospital medicine or inpatient acute care
- Experience working independently in a hospital setting
- Familiarity with Epic
- Flexibility to cover multiple shifts or float between locations
