About Lakewood

Lakewood Health System is a comprehensive rural healthcare system in central Minnesota. Leading the way in providing quality, personalized healthcare for a lifetime, Lakewood prides itself on remaining fiercely independent to prioritize its patients, staff, and communities in all decisions. Voted as one of Star Tribune’s Top Workplaces for the sixth year in a row, we do rural healthcare differently at LHS by providing a solid foundation of family practice providers with access to best-in-class specialty services, all right here at Lakewood. Across the spectrum of life, Lakewood Health System provides compassionate, quality care for the Brainerd Lakes region and beyond.

Caregiving at Lakewood’s Care Center

At Lakewood’s 87-bed, Medicare-certified skilled long-term care facility, you’ll build relationships with residents and families while putting your nursing knowledge into practice. Our Care Center provides care across long-term care, a specialized dementia unit, and a transitional care unit, offering team members the opportunity to work with residents at various stages of their healthcare journey. Your work will help residents maintain their abilities, receive personalized care, and feel respected in the place they call home.

Use Your Skills with a Shift That Fits Your Life

With day, evening, and overnight shifts available, you can explore a schedule that supports your priorities outside work. Whether you’re newly certified or an experienced CNA, you’ll put your skills into practice alongside nurses and fellow caregivers while building meaningful relationships with residents.

We’ll review available hours, weekend rotations, and holiday expectations together so you know what to expect.
