Position Highlights
SUMMARY:
The Home Health Aide assists the Registered Nurse in providing care to patients by assisting with personal care and some homemaking.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
This position has no specific supervisory responsibilities.
QUALIFICATIONS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and ability required
Education and/or Experience: High School diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred. One to three months experience in home health preferred.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Must complete and maintain certification and training requirements as established by the Minnesota Department of Health for Home Health Aides which includes remaining active on the Minnesota Certified Nursing Assistant Registry. Must be a CNA, but then within 6 months must obtain their TMA. Valid driver’s license and auto insurance required. BLS certified or must be obtained within 1 week of hire.
