Atrius Health, part of the Optum family of businesses, is seeking an Adult Psychiatrist (MD) to join our team in the Kenmore/Boston area.

  • Hybrid flexibility with at least one day onsite
  • Monday-Friday schedule, with 8:00 AM-4:00 PM or 9:00 AM-5:00 PM options
  • Approximately 60 patients per week
  • 60-minute new patient appointments and 30-minute follow-ups
  • After-hours phone-only call approximately 2-4 weeks per year
  • Collaborative, team-based care environment
  • New graduates are welcome
  • Opportunity to supervise Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioners and junior psychiatrists, if desired

What You'll Do

As an Adult Psychiatrist with Atrius Health, you'll provide longitudinal psychiatric care while working closely with an integrated care team.

You'll have the opportunity to:

  • Provide medication management in a team-based setting
  • Collaborate and consult closely with Primary Care providers
  • Work alongside master's and doctoral-level therapists, care facilitators, and support staff
  • Develop meaningful, ongoing relationships with your patients
  • Supervise PMHNPs and junior psychiatrists, if desired
  • Contribute your ideas and expertise to a physician-led organization focused on improving patient care
What We're Looking For
  • MD required
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry
  • Massachusetts physician license or ability to obtain required licensure
  • Current active MSCR/prescriptive authority or ability to obtain it in accordance with Massachusetts requirements
  • Current active DEA/prescriptive authority or ability to obtain it in accordance with Massachusetts requirements
  • Newly trained psychiatrists are encouraged to apply
