Schedule: FLEXIBLE- 3 shifts per week 12+ hour shifts 7 day/week options
Job Type: Locum or Locum-to-Perm option available as well
Start: As soon as credentialed
Hourly rate $100/hr with weekly pay and malpractice
We are seeking experienced Nurse Practitioners (NPs) and Physician Assistants (PAs) to provide coverage at multiple urgent care clinics throughout the Richmond, Glen Allen and Midlothian area. This is an excellent opportunity for a provider looking for a consistent 3-day-per-week schedule, no call, and the potential to transition from locum to permanent employment if interested!

Schedule
Clinics are open 7 days a week from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM
Providers will work approximately 3 shifts per week, with shifts lasting 12+ hours depending on patient volume
The patient population includes pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients, providing a diverse urgent care practice environment.
Higher-acuity or emergent cases are stabilized as appropriate and referred or transferred to the emergency department or other appropriate level of care.
Clinical Responsibilities
The ideal provider will be comfortable independently managing a broad range of urgent care conditions and procedures, including:
- Laceration repair simple, intermediate, and complex
- Suturing and stapling
- Incision and drainage (I&D), including packing
- Foreign body removal
- Minor burn management
- Skin lesion care
- Orthopedic injury stabilization
- Splinting and casting
- Joint reductions
- EKG evaluation
- X-ray interpretation
- Point-of-care testing and laboratory interpretation
- Rapid strep, flu, COVID-19, and RSV testing
Requirements
- Current NP or PA license eligible to practice in Virginia
- Urgent care, emergency medicine, family medicine, or similar clinical experience preferred
- Comfortable treating patients across the lifespan
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced urgent care environment
- Comfortable seeing a high-volume patient population
- Experience with Epic preferred
