- Temporary pacemaker removal
- Chest tube removal
- IABP removal
- Aline placement
- Proficient with endoscopic vein harvesting (EVH)
- Recent cardiothoracic surgery experience
- Licenses: Active Arizona PA license or eligibility
- Board: PA Board Certified or eligible (NCCPA)
- DEA: DEA registration required
- Certifications: BLS, ACLS (AHA)
- Experience: Minimum 3 years in cardiothoracic surgery with EVH
- Other Qualifications: Graduation from an NCCPA-approved PA program or Master's in Nursing; Acute Care NP program if NP track
- Manage CVICU and step-down cardiothoracic patients (10-15 per day).
- Perform surgeries as needed (1-2 per day).
- Perform temporary pacemaker removal, chest tube removal, IABP removal, and arterial line placement.
- Provide on-call coverage from 3p-7a.
- Utilize endoscopic vein harvesting (EVH) as required.
