LOCUM Vascular Surgery Physician Assistant / Nurse Practitioner 26-Week Locum Tenens Opportunity Near Charlotte, North Carolina

We are seeking a Vascular Surgery Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) for a 26-week locum tenens assignment at a Level II Trauma facility near Charlotte, North Carolina. This position provides inpatient vascular surgery coverage with a predictable schedule and no call or clinic responsibilities.

Position Details
  • Schedule: Four (4) 10-hour day shifts per week
  • Weekend Call/Coverage: 1:4 weekend rotation (Sat/Sun)
  • Coverage: Inpatient vascular surgery
  • Clinic: None
  • First Assisting: Not required; preferred
Clinical Responsibilities

The APP will provide inpatient vascular surgery coverage and work collaboratively with vascular surgeons and the multidisciplinary care team. Responsibilities may include:

  • Inpatient evaluation and management of vascular surgery patients
  • Daily patient rounds and follow-up care
  • Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with the vascular surgery team
  • Coordinate patient care with physicians, nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals
  • Assist with admissions, consultations, and discharges
  • Perform procedures within the provider's scope of practice and facility privileges
  • First assisting in the operating room when needed and within scope
  • Provide patient and family education
  • Complete accurate and timely documentation in Epic
Requirements
  • Active North Carolina PA or NP license required
  • Vascular surgery experience strongly preferred
  • Inpatient hospital experience required
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with the vascular surgery team
  • First-assist experience: Preferred, not required
