Work hours: PRN| Days Shift | Varied as needed
Medical-Surgical Urology/Genitourinary highlights:
· 24-Bed Urology Inpatient Medical-Surgical Unit
· Self-scheduling with rotating weekend requirements
· Working with a Multi-Disciplinary Team
· Work with patients and provide life-saving care
· The opportunity to work with a diverse patient population
• Associate's Degree Nursing Required
• Bachelor's Degree Nursing Preferred
• 1 Year Experience as a clinical nurse in an acute care setting Required
• 2 Years’ Experience as a clinical nurse in an acute care setting Preferred
• RN - Registered Nurse License Required Upon Hire and
• BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly Required And
• CPI - Crisis Prevention Intervention Training 60 Days Required And
• ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support 90 Days Preferred
• A high degree of confidentiality, positive interpersonal skills, and ability to function in a fast-paced environment.

• The Charge Nurse role will support and actively participate in shared governance/councils which is Texas Health’s structure for decision making.

• This role directly assists leadership on a particular unit or units and shift, by offering staff guidance and support, maintaining a clean and safe work environment, and ensuring unit operational tasks are completed.
• Knowledge of quality management methods, tools, and techniques and ability to create and support an environment that meets the quality goals of the organization.

The hospital continues to grow and visiting campus today you will find a Women's Imaging and Breast Center, a bariatric clinic, an ambulatory surgery center and a variety of physician practices all dedicated to our evolving community health needs. You will see that our long awaited expansion is well underway! This expansion, focused on a healthy future in this high growth area of North Texas, will double the size of our hospital adding more patient beds, a Level 2 NICU, Cardiac Cath Lab and expanding other departments including Labor & Delivery, OR and the emergency room.
