Speech Language Pathologist *Up to $60/hr

Job Description

Speech Language Pathologist providing services to school-aged children in Tucson, Arizona. This 36-week contract offers competitive hourly rates and a range of benefits. The role supports students with IEPs, manages a large caseload, and collaborates with educators and families.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop treatment plans, interventions, and educational materials to meet student objectives and ensure regulatory compliance.

  • Provide speech and language services to students with IEPs, managing caseloads that may reach up to 70 students.

  • Supervise SLPAs in classroom settings when applicable, supporting implementation of speech and language goals.

  • Write and attend MET and IEP meetings as the SLP service coordinator.

  • Evaluate students' speech and language skills and implement communication goals on IEPs.

  • Consult with teachers, parents, and other professionals, making recommendations and referrals.

  • Follow school-wide systems, rules, and positive behavior interventions.

  • Support staff and students with augmentative communication devices and classroom curriculum related to language acquisition.

  • Communicate proactively with students and families, maintain paperwork compliance, and participate in ongoing staff training.

  • Ensure accountability for growth and proficiency in IEP goals, including Medicaid billing.

Qualifications:

  • Valid Speech Language Pathologist license and relevant degree or equivalency.

  • Minimum 1 year experience working with school-aged children, including developing treatment plans and evaluating students.

  • Experience with IEPs, MET meetings, and classroom integration models.

  • Ability to manage caseloads up to 70 students.

  • Familiarity with augmentative communication devices.

  • Strong communication skills, proactive attitude, and reliable attendance.
