Shift: 6:00 AM - 6:30 PM
Experience:
• 18 months of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.
• 2 years of Medical Surgical Unit experience.
• Travel experience is required.
• Experience with Cerner is required.
• Trauma Level 2 experience is preferred.
Requirements:
• Candidates must have a Illinois license (required for submission).
• This role may require floating to additional units and locations
• Local & travel allowed.

• Anyone who worked as Staff at a facility in this program in the last 12 months cannot be submitted.
• Anyone who worked as Per Diem at a facility in this program in the last 12 months cannot be submitted.
• Anyone currently working at a facility in this program cannot be submitted.

Additional Details:
References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years.
Required Skills/Experience: Cardiac monitoring and emergency response experience required: telemetry/remote monitoring and use of rapid response teams. Gastrointestinal case skills/experience required: colostomy care and feeding tube care and management. Genitourinary/renal case skills/experience required: pre/post hemodialysis management and renal failure. IV therapy/phlebotomy skills/experience required: accessing ports, blood product administration, central line blood draw, peripheral line care/management, PICC line management, and starting IVs. Medication skills/experience required: heparin, insulin, and PCA. Respiratory case skills/experience required: CPAP/BiPAP, high-flow nasal cannula (HFNC), nasal cannula, non-invasive airway management, oral suctioning, oxygen face masks, portable oxygen tank, and tracheostomy management. Professional knowledge and skills required: isolation precautions and wound care/wound VAC.
Preferred Skills/Experience: Previous Charge Experience: Preferred Teaching hospital experience is preferred.
Special Requests: You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing. Ideally, no more than 5 days of RTO.
Unit Details: Adult and geriatric patient population. Unit care includes foot and leg amputations, peritoneal and hemodialysis, and thoracentesis. Patient population includes most medical patients and those with CHF, hemodialysis/peritoneal dialysis needs, DKA, acute renal failure (ARF), diabetes, amputations, neurological conditions, GI bleeding/GI diagnoses, sepsis, UTI, cellulitis, osteomyelitis/podiatric diagnoses, shortness of breath, falls, acute kidney injury (AKI), and infections including pancolitis.
Shift & Scheduling: Every other weekend. No call.
Floating Requirements: Will float as needed per department needs.
5 days maximum time off. Facility holidays: 11/26/2026, 12/25/2026, 01/01/2027. Number of holidays allowed off: 2
