Experience:
• 2 years of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.
• 3 months of Cerner experience is preferred.

Additional Details:
Required Skills/Experience: Critical care experience including airway and ventilator management, ABG puncture and analysis, non-invasive ventilation, code blue and rapid response experience, and inhaled medication administration.
Required Credentials: Manager will consider candidates with extensive experience who have CRT; otherwise RRT is required. Roles requiring state licensure only: License should not expire within 45 days following start date.
Special Requests: Housing in ME becomes more expensive in the summer months, beginning in May. Be sure to confirm you are comfortable with housing options before applying. You can only have 1 active application for the same position (same unit & shift at the same facility). Example: if you apply for day shift, you can also apply for night shift on the same unit and facility, but you cannot apply for another day shift position on the same unit & facility. Travel pairs: If you are in a relationship, EMMC will not schedule you on the same days. If you are not in a relationship, you can be scheduled for the same days if not on the same shift/unit. Managers will not guarantee the same schedule for travel pairs. Holiday expectations: As assigned unless RTO is in contract. RTO must go through Manager for approval.
Unit Details: Very critical care-focused and protocol-driven RT team. Provides respiratory care across 3 adult ICUs, the cardiac critical care unit, the level II trauma center emergency department, the intermediate care unit, and general medical floors. Level III NICU/PICU/peds training is not required unless the position is specifically posted for that area. Common diagnoses include COPD, CHF, cystic fibrosis, ARDS, trauma/surgery, pneumonia, lung cancer, stroke, ALS, GBS, COVID-19, and RSV. Uses Servo U, Servo I, Hamilton T1, Trilogy, V60, V30, EV300, and Vero Biotech Nitric Delivery.
Shift & Scheduling: 0645-1915 day shift and 1845-0715 night shift. Will start on days but may need to move to nights later in the contract. Variable-shift travelers may work days or nights; most current needs are on nights. The traveler will not be required to flip back and forth within 1 week at the present time. Every other weekend. Voluntary call only - 2 hours before shift start time and 2 hours after.
Floating Requirements: Float to other trained units only.
14 days maximum time off
2 Manager references required from within the last 12 months

• RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist) or the alternative certification CRT
