Experience:

• 2 years of experience with 12 months within the last 36 months (3 years).

• 12 months of Medical Surgical Oncology experience with 12 months within the last 36 months (3 years).

• Travel experience is preferred.

• Experience with Epic is required.

• Trauma Level 1 experience is required.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a North Dakota license or compact license (required for submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >60 miles from facility to be submitted.

• Anyone who worked as Staff at a facility in this program in the last 6 months cannot be submitted.

• Anyone currently working at a facility in this program cannot be submitted.

Required Skills/Experience:

Preferred Skills/Experience: Inpatient oncology experience preferred. Hematology and bone marrow transplant experience preferred.

Special Requests: Any employment gaps greater than 30 days must be explained. Must take full 6 months off from any Good Samaritan Society and Marshfield Clinic Health System location as well. Must disclose previous employment on your resume or elsewhere within the submission for a DNU check. Former Sanford Health employees must have an end date 6 months prior to submission.

Unit Details: Patients are medically complex hematology/oncology patients requiring blood products, antibiotics, and symptom/side-effect management. Nursing work includes head-to-toe assessments, medication administration, interdisciplinary team communication, and patient/family updates. Clinicians trained to administer chemotherapy could be assigned chemotherapy duties. 7S focuses more on hematology and bone marrow transplant patients. Equipment includes Philips Care Monitors, glucometers, bladder scanners, LanguageLine, and Zebra phones. Ratios are 1:3 for patients receiving chemotherapy or BMT, 1:4-5 for regular oncology patients, and 1:4-6 on nights. Will not work alone.

Shift & Scheduling: Day/night shifts rotate. Every other weekend and every other holiday. No call.

Floating Requirements: Will float to other med-surg units at Broadway as needed, with potential to float to other Fargo Med Surg units at Med Center or South.

14 days maximum time off

2 Charge/Lead/Supervisor references required from within the last 12 months

Driver’s license required for submission
