Job Description
A healthcare organization is seeking a Primary Care FNP/PA in Washington, DC or Reston, VA to provide comprehensive, patient-centered care in a modern outpatient setting. This role focuses on managing a diverse patient panel through acute, chronic, and preventive visits while collaborating closely with a multidisciplinary care team.
About the Opportunity:
- Shift: Day shift
- Schedule: Monday through Friday
- Hours: 32 hours of patient care per week (4 eight-hour shifts)
- Setting: Outpatient primary care clinic
- Manage a patient panel with a broad range of primary care needs
- Provide acute, chronic, and preventive care visits
- Evaluate and treat patients in-office, in testing centers, and during occasional telehealth visits
- Perform appropriate in-office procedures within clinical scope and training
- Collaborate with in-office teammates and virtual clinical teams through daily huddles and ongoing communication
Qualifications:
- Completion of an accredited FNP or PA program
- National certification as an FNP or PA
- At least 2 years of advanced practice experience in an outpatient primary care setting seeing patients of all ages within the past 5 years, or 1 year of outpatient primary care experience seeing patients of all ages within the past 5 years plus either a 1-year primary care fellowship or 1+ year of urgent care experience seeing patients of all ages
- Ability to obtain a state license by the start date
