Job Description
The work location for this position is: Lake Cumberland District Health Department
The Health Education Coordinator will provide staffing for Harm Reduction programs within the Lake Cumberland District Health Department.
Staff will be contracted UK employees that will work solely for the Lake Cumberland District Health Department to:
•Deliver health education, prevention counseling, and risk-reduction services related to HIV, Hepatitis C, and STIs.
•Assess client needs and risk factors; provide referrals to medical, psychosocial, PrEP, harm-reduction, and supportive services.
•Promote health literacy, care retention, and treatment adherence through counseling, education, and distribution of prevention supplies.

Qualifications
MA
3 yrs

Bachelor’s degree in Health Education, Social Work, Social Services, Nursing, or Human Development
MS Windows (Word, Excel, Access (or other database experience), Outlook, data entry, health education, motivational interviewing
Schedule
This position must be willing to work in different environments (both office-based and on the ground), at times best suited to the community (including some evenings and weekends). This includes hours outside of traditional office hours (i.e., 8:00 a.m. –
