Work is conducted in a normal hospital environment, and involves close eye work and hearing within normal range. Operations will be performed on the computer and multiple other types of technology. Continuous work with average weight objects (16-25lbs) and or frequent pushing/pulling or lifting heavy weight objects (50lbs+).
In this position, you will manage our inventory operations while assisting the pharmacy team in delivering exceptional patient care. You will split your time between stockroom logistics and front-line pharmacy support.
Stockroom & Inventory Management: Receive, log, deliver to departments and organize all incoming supplies and medication shipments. Monitor stock levels, track expiration dates, and process returns or disposals of damaged or expired goods. Update inventory management software to ensure accurate stock counts and tracking. Collaborate with management to generate purchase order requests and resolve shipment discrepancies with vendors.
Pharmacy Technician Support: Assist pharmacist in preparing and dispensing medications, refilling automated cabinets throughout the hospital, maintaining pharmacy inventory, and participating in patient care with other departments within the hospital. Operate the pharmacy point-of-sale system, and efficiently handle drop-offs and pick-ups. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe pharmacy environment in accordance with state and federal regulations. Answer phone calls and direct clinical questions to the pharmacist. Monitor expiration dates, process returns for damaged and expired goods.
