What You ll Do
  • Provide psychiatric evaluations, including diagnosing and managing mental health conditions
  • Prescribe pharmacological treatments and non-pharmacological therapies
  • Synthesize clinical data to formulate accurate diagnoses and treatment plans
  • Educate patients on medication use and monitor lab results
  • Document patient assessments, treatments, and progress promptly and accurately
  • Serve as a resource and consultant within an interdisciplinary team
  • Collaborate with external providers and community agencies to ensure continuity of care
What You Need
  • Required:
    • Active Iowa RN license and ARNP licensure
    • Certification as a clinical specialist/NP by ANCC or recognized certifying body
    • Minimum of three years related clinical experience
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Preferred:
    • Experience in behavioral health settings
    • Experience with electronic health records (EHR)
    • Knowledge of mental health laws and managed care practices
