What You ll Do
- Provide psychiatric evaluations, including diagnosing and managing mental health conditions
- Prescribe pharmacological treatments and non-pharmacological therapies
- Synthesize clinical data to formulate accurate diagnoses and treatment plans
- Educate patients on medication use and monitor lab results
- Document patient assessments, treatments, and progress promptly and accurately
- Serve as a resource and consultant within an interdisciplinary team
- Collaborate with external providers and community agencies to ensure continuity of care
What You Need
- Required:
- Active Iowa RN license and ARNP licensure
- Certification as a clinical specialist/NP by ANCC or recognized certifying body
- Minimum of three years related clinical experience
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Preferred:
- Experience in behavioral health settings
- Experience with electronic health records (EHR)
- Knowledge of mental health laws and managed care practices
