Critical Care/ICU Nurse Practitioner

Critical Care / ICU Locums ASAP Start

WPA Medicine Staffing is seeking an APP Nocturnist Intensivist for an ongoing locums opportunity in Pennsylvania. This is a night-only ICU position offering 12-hour shifts in a 10-bed ICU with physician backup available by phone.

• Start: ASAP
• Schedule: Nights only
• Shift: 7:00 PM 7:00 AM
• 12-hour shifts
• Coverage may be split between multiple providers
• Temporary privileges available
• 10-bed ICU
• Average patient volume: 4 6 patients per shift
• Physician available by phone from 7:00 PM 7:00 AM and will come in for backup if needed
• EMR: Epic

Providers must be comfortable performing required critical care procedures, including:

• Arterial puncture
• Central and other line placement
• Tube placement
• Paracentesis
• Thoracentesis
• Chest tube placement

Case logs from the past 2 years are required to demonstrate recent procedural experience.

• Active Pennsylvania license
• IMLC candidates will not be considered
• BLS
• ACLS
• ATLS
• Demonstrated recent experience with required ICU procedures
• Case logs from the last 2 years required
• Must be comfortable providing independent overnight ICU coverage with physician backup available by phone

• Physician-owned and provider-focused staffing company

• Temporary privileges available when appropriate
• Flexible scheduling options, including split coverage between providers
