An outpatient workplace wellness program in Pennsylvania is seeking a licensed Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join their team in Pittsburgh. This role focuses on preventive skin evaluations, documentation, and guidance for follow-up care during a short-term assignment.
About the Opportunity:
- Shift: Day shift
- Schedule: Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday
- Hours: 7:00am to 5:30pm
- Setting: Onsite clinic
Responsibilities:
- Perform skin cancer screenings and general dermatologic evaluations in a workplace wellness environment.
- Conduct visual skin exams and identify suspicious moles, sun damage, or benign findings.
- Provide patient education on sun protection and preventive skin care recommendations.
- Document patient encounters and screening results in the electronic medical record.
- Recommend appropriate follow-up care and refer patients to dermatology specialists when needed.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of direct dermatology experience following postgraduate training.
- Active, unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license in Pennsylvania.
- Active BLS or ACLS CPR certification.
- Ability to practice independently and make clinical decisions within scope of practice.
- Proficiency with electronic charting using a personal laptop or tablet during each shift.
- Strong patient education, customer service, and professional communication skills.
Desired Skills:
- Experience conducting skin cancer screenings in a workplace wellness or corporate clinic setting.
- Familiarity with EMR documentation workflows.
- Excellent bedside manner and a personable approach to patient care.
