Obstetrics Nurse Practitioner

SSM Health is seeking an experienced Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner, Physician Assistant, or Certified Nurse Midwife) to join our OB Hospitalist team at SSM Health St. Joseph Hospital - Lake St. Louis, with additional coverage at SSM Health DePaul Hospital. In this role, youll be part of a collaborative, physician supported L&D team that delivers high acuity obstetric care grounded in our healing power of presence.

Practice Highlights

• In-hospital role on the Labor and Delivery unit, including OB triage, similar to an emergency setting for pregnant patients.
• 12 hour shifts, typically 6 a.m. to 6 p.m., with flexibility based on department needs.
• Antipartum and postpartum rounding as part of the OB Hospitalist team.
• Flexibility to float between SSM Health St. Joseph Hospital Lake - St. Louis and SSM Health DePaul Hospital.

Position Details

• • Setting: 100% inpatient (L&D, OB triage, postpartum/antepartum rounding).
  • No scheduled clinic patients.
  • No call requirement.
  • Work alongside OB Hospitalists, nursing staff, and pediatric providers.
  • Certified Nurse Midwives will have delivery privileges and participate in managing deliveries.

What You Will Need

• • Graduate of an accredited NP, PA, or CNM program.
  • Ability to obtain Missouri licensure as an NP, PA, or CNM.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in obstetrics, womens health, or L&D.
  • EFM certification (Electronic Fetal Monitoring).
  • NPR (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification.
  • ACLS certification required.
