Seeking a Family Medicine or Internal Medicine physician for a residential healthcare setting in Abilene, Texas.
Position Details
- Monday Friday, 8:00 AM 5:00 PM
- Approximately individuals in the residential population
- Typically no more than 10 patients per day
- Weekday call approximately every 6 weeks, 5:00 PM 8:00 AM
- Weekend/holiday call approximately every 6 weeks
- Approximately 95% of call handled by phone
- Weekend/holiday call includes rounds in a 16-bed infirmary
- Primary care, annual physicals, interval assessments, and treatment planning
- Diagnostic follow-up and EHR documentation
- Interdisciplinary care planning and collaboration with nursing, specialists, and therapists
- Evaluation and treatment of acute illnesses and injuries as needed
Requirements
- MD or DO
- Active, unrestricted Texas medical license
- Active DEA
- NPI
- Current CPR/BLS
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or related primary care specialty
- Completely clean professional and Texas Medical Board record with no disciplinary action, sanctions, or restrictions
Preferred
- Experience working with individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities
- Residential healthcare experience
