This outpatient opportunity offers a consistent weekday schedule, manageable patient volume, and access to an established multidisciplinary healthcare team.
Position Highlights
- Outpatient Primary Care setting
- Care for patients of all ages
- Approximately 8 10 patients per day
- Preventive care, chronic disease management, acute illness, minor injuries, follow-up care, splinting, and suturing
- Dedicated support from 2 Registered Nurses
- Credentialing typically days
- May provide coverage in the Same-Day/Walk-In Clinic
- Wednesday afternoons are closed to patients, providing dedicated time for training, meetings, charting, and documentation
- Pediatrician on site
Same-Day / Walk-In Care
- Maximum of 20 walk-in slots per day
- 20-minute appointment slots
- Primarily non-emergent acute care
- No traditional patient panel for walk-in coverage
- Higher-acuity needs are directed to the local Emergency Department
- On-site X-ray and pharmacy support
- Patients are generally referred back to their Primary Care provider for ongoing follow-up
The Reno-Sparks Tribal Health Center also provides access to services including pharmacy, behavioral health, pediatrics, dental, laboratory, optometry, nutrition, and other clinical resources.
