What You ll Do - Provide diagnostic evaluations and develop treatment plans for mental health patients
- Prescribe pharmacological and non-pharmacological therapies aligned with patient needs
- Order and interpret lab tests and review reports
- Document patient assessments, interventions, and progress accurately and timely
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes
- Educate patients regarding medication management and health promotion strategies
- Ensure compliance with professional standards, policies, and regulations
What You NeedRequired: - Master s or Doctorate Degree from an accredited nursing program
- Licensure as a Registered Nurse and as an Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner licensed in Iowa
- Certification as a clinical specialist/NP by ANCC or other accepted certifying body
- Minimum of 3 years related clinical experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of mental health nursing, psychotropic medications, and legal regulations
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Preferred: - Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems
- Familiarity with involuntary hospitalization laws and managed care practices
