NP/PA Orthopedic Surgery opening near Boston Located in Burlington, MA - Boston 15mFull-time; PermanentEmployedInpatient Orthopedic SurgerySeeking Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant Overview: Join a busy inpatient orthopedic surgery service at a tertiary care hospital and Level I Trauma Center Approximately 36 hours per week across 3 days Weekend-anchored schedule with Saturday and Sunday as required coverage days Weekend shifts typically 6:00 AM-6:00 PM Complete the schedule with an additional weekday, typically Friday or Monday Cover the orthopedic inpatient floor alongside the on-call resident and attending physician Broad orthopedic exposure including trauma, arthroplasty, sports medicine, hand, foot and ankle, and podiatry Weekday responsibilities can include the inpatient floor, ED, OR or clinic based on interests Opportunity to develop skills in ED consultations and procedures including reductions, casting and laceration repair Opportunity for OR first-assist experience Direct mentorship from experienced APPs and academic surgeons New graduates encouraged to apply; training and structured professional growth provided Epic EMR Graduate of an accredited PA or NP program required; AGACNP or ACNP for NP candidates Massachusetts licensure or eligibility required Current BLS or ACLS required Comp/Benefits: $119,808-$193,500 annual base salary Compensation determined based on experience, education, training, certifications and other applicable factors Comprehensive employed APP benefits Group/Facility Info: Nationally recognized 345-bed tertiary care hospital Level I Trauma Center High-volume orthopedic surgery service Collaborative, resident-supported practice environment Broad orthopedic subspecialty exposure Academic environment with a strong emphasis on teaching and mentorship APP-friendly practice with opportunities to expand clinical and procedural skills About the Area: Burlington is a thriving suburban community approximately 15 miles northwest of Boston, offering convenient access to the city while maintaining a more relaxed suburban setting.
