REQUIREMENTS:
- MD or DO from an accredited program
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Colon and Rectal Surgery
- Completion of an ACGME-accredited Fellowship in Colon and Rectal Surgery
- Current California Medical License (or ability to obtain CA License)
- Unable to offer Visa Sponsorships
JOB DETAILS:
- Provide specialized surgical care for colorectal cancer, diverticulitis, IBD, and anorectal disorders
- 50/50 split of colorectal and general surgery cases to start
- Trauma/ACS call is managed by contracted surgery group
- Opportunity to partner with Emergency Department and surgery call teams to identify and triage appropriate patients to be referred to local colorectal practice
- Dedicated Endoscopy Suite
- Outpatient specialty clinic located 3 miles from medical center
- Ambulatory Surgery Center located across the street from clinic
- Utilize advanced minimally invasive and robotic-assisted techniques (da Vinci Xi)
- Perform diagnostic and therapeutic colonoscopies.
- Collaborate with leadership to drive clinical excellence.
- Conduct physical examinations and interpret diagnostic tests (e.g., colonoscopy, sigmoidoscopy, CT scans) to evaluate lower gastrointestinal symptoms
- Develop tailored treatment plans, which may include diet modifications, medication, or surgical intervention
- Perform complex procedures including colectomies, bowel obstruction repairs, and hemorrhoidectomies.
- Work closely with oncologists, gastroenterologists, and radiologists to provide comprehensive care for severe conditions like cancer
