Trusted Health is seeking a Telemetry Nurse to deliver high-quality, tech-enabled cardiac monitoring care. In this role, you'll provide continuous telemetry observation, interpret cardiac rhythms, respond to changes in patient status, and collaborate with physicians and the care team to optimize outcomes. You'll document in modern digital systems, educate patients and families, and contribute to a culture of safety, learning, and innovation that empowers clinicians and improves patient care.
Responsibilities
- Provide continuous monitoring and assessment of patients on the telemetry unit, interpreting cardiac rhythms and vital signs.
- Administer medications and treatments per provider orders, ensuring timely, accurate documentation in the EHR.
- Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and interdisciplinary teams to develop and adjust care plans.
- Recognize and respond rapidly to changes in patient condition, initiating appropriate emergency protocols when necessary.
- Educate patients and families on cardiac conditions, procedures, medications, and discharge instructions.
- Use telemetry equipment and monitoring systems, troubleshooting alarms and equipment issues as needed.
- Participate in bedside shift reports, care conferences, and quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes.
- Maintain infection control, patient safety, and regulatory standards in all aspects of care.
- Precept and mentor newer nurses or support staff, contributing to a collaborative, learning-focused unit culture.
- Document all assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately and in compliance with hospital policies.
