Job Details:
- Provide emergency medicine coverage floating between two hospital locations, with the greatest need for night shifts
- Shift options available include 8-hour, 11-hour, and 12-hour shifts
- Trauma Level 3 facility with an annual ER volume of 55,000 patients
- 32-bed emergency department with approximately 30% of ED patients admitted daily
- Hospitalist or admitting service handles all admissions - providers are not responsible for admissions
- APP coverage available on shift
- Responsible for monitoring and supervising paramedics and ambulance services by radio
- Providers are not responsible for codes
- Deliveries are sent directly to Labor & Delivery - not managed in the ED
- On-call response time required within 30 minutes per hospital bylaws
- EMR system: Meditech
- Active Massachusetts license highly preferred and will be prioritized
- ABEM Board Certified or Board Eligible within 5 years of residency required
- BLS, ACLS, and ATLS certifications required
- Clean background required for credentialing purposes
- Self-Query NPDB required at time of presentation (must be pulled within the month)
- Provider must be local - no flight reimbursement available
- Hotel accommodations reimbursed by facility
