RN CVTICU

HCA Healthcare is seeking an RN for our Cardiovascular Thoracic Intensive Care Unit (CVTICU). In this role, you will provide critical care to post-op cardiac and thoracic surgery patients, perform complex assessments, manage ventilators, drips, and invasive lines, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team. You will educate patients and families, ensure accurate documentation, and follow evidence-based protocols. Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive critical care to CVTICU patients, including post-op cardiac and thoracic surgery cases
• Perform complex assessments, monitor hemodynamics, and respond to changes in patient condition
• Manage ventilators, vasoactive infusions, central and arterial lines, and other advanced therapies
• Administer medications and treatments safely, following physician orders and unit protocols
• Collaborate with physicians, surgeons, respiratory therapists, and other team members to coordinate care
• Educate patients and families on care plans, procedures, and post-discharge needs
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient progress accurately in the EMRAdhere to infection control, safety standards, and evidence-based practice guidelines
• Participate in quality improvement, unit-based councils, and ongoing clinical education
