Job Description
UCHealth seeks a Supervisor Nursing Professional Development to lead system-wide nursing education and growth initiatives. In this role, you will assess learning needs, design and implement evidence-based education, and oversee orientation, competency validation, and ongoing development for nursing staff. You will supervise educators, collaborate with clinical and leadership teams, and ensure alignment with regulatory and accreditation standards. This position supports a culture of continuous learning, innovation, and patient-first care within a large, academic-affiliated health system.
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise nursing professional development team and activities
- Assess learning needs and design evidence-based education programs for nursing staff
- Oversee onboarding, orientation, and ongoing competency assessment for nurses
- Collaborate with clinical and leadership teams to align education with organizational goals
- Monitor outcomes and use data to improve education and professional development initiatives
- Ensure compliance with regulatory, accreditation, and professional practice standards
- Support career advancement pathways and certification preparation for nursing staff
- Manage schedules, resources, and budgets for education programs
- Promote a culture of continuous learning, innovation, and interprofessional collaboration
- Serve as a clinical and educational resource for leaders and frontline staff
