RN PCU Resource Float Pool

UCHealth is seeking an experienced RN for our PCU Resource Float Pool. In this role, you'll provide advanced, progressive care nursing across multiple hospital units, supporting diverse patient populations and acuity levels. You'll assess, monitor, and coordinate complex care, using telemetry and critical-care skills to stabilize patients and support safe transitions. Collaborating with an interdisciplinary team, you'll deliver evidence-based, patient-centered care while mentoring peers. Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on Progressive Care Unit (PCU) across multiple hospital locations as part of the Resource Float Pool
• Continuously assess, monitor, and document patient condition, intervening promptly for changes in status
• Administer medications, treatments, and therapies according to provider orders and UCHealth policies
• Collaborate with physicians, interdisciplinary team members, and families to coordinate individualized care plans
• Use cardiac and hemodynamic monitoring equipment and interpret clinical data to guide care
• Support safe patient transitions, including admissions, transfers, and discharges
• Educate patients and families on disease processes, treatments, and self-care after discharge
• Precept and mentor newer nurses, supporting ongoing training and professional development
• Maintain compliance with regulatory, safety, and infection prevention standards
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to UCHealth's culture of innovation and excellence
