Travel RN Operating Room

UCHealth is seeking a skilled Travel RN - Operating Room to deliver exceptional perioperative care within our innovative, patient-centered health system. In this role, you'll circulate and scrub for diverse surgical procedures, coordinate care with surgeons and anesthesia, and ensure strict adherence to safety and sterile protocols. You'll assess patients pre- and intraoperatively, document in the EMR, and educate patients and families. Responsibilities

• Provide safe, evidence-based perioperative nursing care for surgical patients
• Function as circulating and/or scrub nurse for a variety of surgical specialties
• Verify patient identity, consents, and pre-op readiness; conduct thorough assessments
• Maintain strict aseptic technique and manage surgical instruments and supplies
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia, and multidisciplinary team to optimize outcomes
• Monitor patient status intraoperatively and respond to changes promptly
• Administer medications and manage IV lines according to protocols
• Document all aspects of care accurately in the electronic medical record
• Educate and support patients and families regarding perioperative process
• Participate in quality, safety, and continuous improvement initiatives
