Job Description
UCHealth seeks an experienced Labor & Delivery RN to join our Metro Float Pool, supporting multiple hospitals across the region. In this role, you'll provide high-acuity, patient-centered care to laboring patients, support complex deliveries, and manage postpartum recovery in diverse clinical settings. You'll collaborate closely with obstetric, neonatal, and anesthesia teams while adapting to varied unit protocols. Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to laboring, antepartum, and postpartum patients across multiple UCHealth hospitals
- Monitor maternal and fetal status, including interpretation of fetal heart tracings and timely escalation of concerns
- Assist with vaginal and surgical deliveries, obstetric emergencies, and high-risk situations
- Collaborate with physicians, midwives, anesthesia, and neonatal teams to coordinate safe, evidence-based care
- Educate and support patients and families on the labor, birth, and recovery process
- Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately in the electronic health record
- Adapt quickly to different unit workflows, policies, and patient populations as a float nurse
- Maintain infection prevention, safety, and quality standards in all settings
