UCHealth is seeking a Critical Care Float Pool Registered Nurse to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care across multiple critical care units. In this role, you'll assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for diverse, high-acuity patients, floating where needed most. You'll collaborate closely with an interdisciplinary team, advocate for patients and families, and ensure safe, evidence-based practice. Responsibilities
- Provide direct, high-acuity nursing care to patients in multiple critical care units as part of the float pool
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate comprehensive care
- Administer and titrate IV medications, manage ventilators, and monitor hemodynamics
- Respond to rapid response and code situations, following ACLS protocols
- Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately in the EHREducate patients and families on treatment plans, procedures, and discharge instructions
- Adhere to UCHealth and regulatory policies, ensuring patient safety and quality standards
- Participate in ongoing training, competency validation, and quality improvement initiatives
