Job Description
HCA Healthcare is seeking an experienced RN Operating Room nurse to deliver safe, patient-centered surgical care. In this role, you'll coordinate pre-, intra-, and post-operative care, circulate and/or scrub for diverse procedures, and maintain strict sterile technique. You will collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia, and perioperative teams, use evidence-based practices, and accurately document in the EMR. Responsibilities
- Provide safe, compassionate nursing care throughout the perioperative process
- Circulate and/or scrub for surgical procedures following sterile technique
- Perform and document pre- and post-operative assessments
- Set up and check OR rooms, equipment, and supplies for procedures
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia, and the perioperative team to optimize outcomes
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the EMR and perioperative systems
- Monitor patient status and respond to changes or emergencies in the OREducate patients and families on procedures, expectations, and post-op care
- Adhere to infection control, safety, and regulatory standards
- Participate in quality improvement, continuing education, and skills development
