The Cardiac Cath Lab Specialist will perform diagnostic and interventional catheterizations, assist physicians during procedures, and ensure patient safety and comfort throughout their treatment.
Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for catheterization, angioplasty, and other cardiac procedures.
- Assist cardiologists during procedures by handling and monitoring equipment and ensuring the patient's comfort.
- Monitor patient's physiological data and administer medications or treatments as directed by the cardiologist.
- Record all diagnostic information and ensure that all data is available to the healthcare team.
- Maintain cath lab equipment, prepare sterile supplies, and ensure all necessary materials are on hand.
- Provide patient education on procedure details, pre-test preparations, and post-procedure care.
Required Skills
- Strong technical skill in using cath lab equipment.
- Excellent interpersonal skills for effective communication with patients, families, and the medical team.
- Ability to respond quickly and efficiently in emergency situations.
