Job Description

HCA Healthcare is seeking a skilled Cardiovascular EP Technician to join our Healthcare & Medical Services team. In this on site role, you will support electrophysiologists during complex EP procedures, including mapping, ablations, and device-related studies. Responsibilities include preparing and operating EP lab and monitoring equipment, performing ECG and rhythm analysis, maintaining sterile technique, documenting procedures, and collaborating with the care team to deliver safe, patient centered care. Responsibilities

  • Assist electrophysiologists during complex cardiovascular EP procedures, including mapping and ablations
  • Prepare, calibrate, and operate EP lab equipment, monitoring systems, and recording devices
  • Perform 12 lead ECGs, arrhythmia recognition, and hemodynamic monitoring throughout procedures
  • Maintain strict sterile technique, room setup, and turnover to support efficient case flow
  • Document procedures accurately in electronic systems and maintain detailed patient records
  • Ensure equipment safety checks, troubleshooting, and coordination of repairs or service
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and anesthesia to deliver safe, patient centered care
  • Educate patients and families on procedures, expectations, and post procedure instructions
  • Support on call coverage and flexible scheduling for urgent and emergent EP cases
  • Follow HCA Healthcare policies, quality, and regulatory standards in the EP lab
