Responsibilities
- Oversee hospital operations during assigned shifts to ensure safe, high-quality patient care
- Coordinate patient flow, including admissions, transfers, and discharges across units
- Manage staffing levels and assignments to match patient acuity and census
- Provide clinical leadership and decision support to bedside nursing teams
- Collaborate with physicians and departmental leaders to resolve operational issues
- Respond to emergencies and critical incidents, ensuring appropriate resource deployment
- Address and help resolve patient and family concerns in a timely, compassionate manner
- Promote adherence to regulatory, safety, and infection control standards
