Clinical Nurse Supervisor

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise nursing staff for General Surgery and Urology units at Dell Medical School-affiliated facilities
• Coordinate patient care plans, ensuring adherence to clinical protocols, safety standards, and regulatory requirements
• Support physicians and interdisciplinary teams in perioperative and postoperative care coordination
• Oversee staffing, scheduling, and workload assignments to optimize patient flow and nurse-to-patient ratios
• Provide coaching, mentorship, and performance feedback to nursing staff, fostering professional growth
• Monitor quality metrics, patient outcomes, and documentation accuracy; drive continuous improvement initiatives
• Ensure compliance with infection prevention, medication administration, and patient safety policies
• Participate in development and implementation of evidence-based practices and clinical education programs
• Collaborate with leadership on resource planning, policy updates, and process improvements
• Engage patients and families with clear communication, education, and a patient-centered approach
