HCA Healthcare is seeking a Registered Nurse for our CV Neuro ICU in Nashville, TN. In this critical care role, you will provide expert, evidence-based nursing care to patients with complex cardiovascular and neurological conditions. Responsibilities include continuous monitoring, medication and infusion management, ventilator and device support, and timely response to changes in patient status. You'll collaborate closely with physicians and an interdisciplinary team, support families through education, and contribute to quality and safety initiatives. Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care to critically ill CV and neuro ICU patients
- Continuously monitor vital signs, hemodynamic status, and neurological function
- Administer medications, infusions, and treatments per physician orders and protocols
- Operate and troubleshoot ICU equipment such as ventilators and invasive monitoring devices
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams on care plans
- Educate patients and families on conditions, treatments, and post-ICU care
- Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately in the EMRParticipate in quality, safety, and infection prevention initiatives
- Respond rapidly to emergencies and changes in patient condition
- Support orientation and mentoring of new nurses in the ICU
