Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center seeks an RN Circulator to support our high-acuity operating rooms in a Level II Trauma Center. The RN circulator provides comprehensive perioperative care, coordinating patient safety, surgical workflows, and sterile technique before, during, and after procedures. Responsibilities include pre-op assessment, OR preparation, medication administration, and real-time collaboration with surgeons, anesthesia, and the surgical team. You'll care for diverse, complex cases while participating in quality improvement, safety initiatives, and ongoing professional development in a supportive, team-focused environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide perioperative RN circulator care before, during, and after surgical procedures
- Coordinate and monitor patient safety, positioning, and aseptic technique in the ORPrepare OR, supplies, instruments, and equipment according to case requirements
- Verify consents, patient identity, and documentation; participate in time-outs
- Administer and document medications and IV therapies per provider orders
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia, and surgical team to ensure optimal outcomes
- Assess, monitor, and document patient status and responses to interventions
- Educate patients and families on procedures, expectations, and post-op care
- Respond to emergencies and follow trauma and resuscitation protocols
- Participate in quality improvement, safety initiatives, and ongoing clinical education
