RN Float

Cone Health is seeking a compassionate RN Float to provide high-quality, patient-centered care across multiple hospital units on day shifts. This part-time role supports diverse patient populations, performing assessments, medication administration, and care coordination while adapting quickly to varied clinical environments. The RN Float collaborates closely with interdisciplinary teams, follows evidence-based practices, and ensures accurate EMR documentation. Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to patients across multiple hospital units during day shifts
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and implement individualized care plans
• Administer medications, treatments, and IV therapies safely and accurately
• Document all care, assessments, and interventions in the EMR in a timely manner
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care
• Respond to changes in patient condition and initiate appropriate interventions
• Float between units based on staffing needs while maintaining clinical competency
• Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatments, and discharge instructions
• Follow infection control, safety, and quality standards at all times
• Support a compassionate, inclusive, and patient-centered care environment
