Waukee-Clive Veterinary Clinic seeks a Registered Veterinary Technician to support small-animal preventive care, diagnostics, surgery, and dentistry in a close-knit, client-focused practice. Responsibilities
- Assist veterinarians with small-animal exams, treatments, and procedures
- Monitor anesthesia and provide surgical support including patient prep and recovery
- Perform venipuncture, place IV catheters, and administer medications and vaccines
- Conduct in-house lab tests and assist with imaging such as digital radiography
- Provide dental support including cleanings and assisting with oral procedures
- Ensure safe, low-stress handling and restraint of patients
- Educate clients on treatment plans, preventive care, and long-term pet wellness
- Maintain accurate and thorough electronic medical records
- Uphold clinic cleanliness, infection control, and equipment care standards
- Collaborate with veterinarians and support staff to deliver high-quality, compassionate care
