Job Description
Deer Creek Animal Hospital in Littleton, CO seeks a Registered Veterinary Technician to deliver high-quality nursing care for dogs and cats in a full-service, AAHA-style environment. You'll support exams, surgery, dentistry, diagnostics, and anesthesia monitoring while using advanced equipment and electronic medical records. Responsibilities include patient triage, lab work, imaging, client education, and detailed documentation. You'll collaborate closely with veterinarians and a skilled technician team in a compassionate, learning-focused culture that values mentorship, teamwork, and respectful client communication.
Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care for canine and feline patients, including restraint, monitoring, treatments, and recovery support
- Perform technical procedures such as blood draws, IV catheter placement, radiographs, lab samples, and anesthesia monitoring
- Assist veterinarians in exams, surgery, dentistry, and diagnostic work-ups using advanced medical equipment
- Educate and communicate clearly with clients on treatment plans, home care, medications, and preventive health
- Maintain accurate medical records, ensure proper documentation, and support practice protocols and safety standards
- Manage patient flow, triage, and assist with urgent cases in a fast-paced, team-focused environment
