Job Description
HCA Healthcare is seeking an experienced RN for our Cardiac Cath Lab team. In this role, you will provide specialized nursing care to patients undergoing diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures. Responsibilities include pre- and post-procedure assessment, intra-procedure monitoring, administering medications and moderate sedation, and collaborating closely with cardiologists and technologists to ensure safe, efficient care. Responsibilities
- Provide pre-, intra-, and post-procedure nursing care for cardiac cath lab patients
- Monitor hemodynamic status, rhythms, and patient response during procedures
- Administer medications and moderate sedation per protocol and physician orders
- Maintain strict sterile technique and assist cardiologists during diagnostic and interventional procedures
- Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately in the EMRCollaborate with physicians, technologists, and support staff to coordinate safe, efficient patient flow
- Respond to emergencies and participate in code situations as needed
- Educate patients and families on procedures, recovery, and discharge instructions
- Follow hospital policies, safety standards, and infection control practices
- Participate in ongoing training, quality improvement, and professional development activities
