HCA Healthcare is seeking a skilled Cath Lab RN to join our cardiovascular team. In this role, you'll assist physicians during diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures, monitor and assess patients pre-, intra-, and post-procedure, and manage medications and conscious sedation. You'll collaborate closely with cardiologists, technologists, and other clinicians to ensure safe, evidence-based care. Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care before, during, and after cardiac catheterization and interventional procedures
- Assist cardiologists during diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures
- Monitor hemodynamics, cardiac rhythms, and patient status throughout procedures
- Administer medications, including those used for conscious sedation, per protocol and orders
- Maintain sterile field and adhere to radiation safety and infection control standards
- Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses in the EMR accurately and timely
- Coordinate patient flow, including preparation, recovery, and discharge or transfer
- Collaborate with physicians, technologists, and multidisciplinary teams for optimal outcomes
- Respond to cardiac emergencies and participate in rapid response and code events
- Participate in ongoing education, competencies, and quality improvement initiatives
