Staff Pharmacist

Piedmont Healthcare is seeking a Staff Pharmacist for evening shifts to ensure safe, accurate, and timely medication therapy for patients across our hospital network. The pharmacist will verify, compound, and dispense medications, review orders for appropriateness, monitor for drug interactions, and provide clinical consultations to physicians and nurses. Responsibilities include supervising pharmacy technicians, maintaining regulatory and medication safety standards, supporting antimicrobial stewardship, and educating patients and staff. Responsibilities

• Verify, compound, and dispense medications for inpatient and outpatient areas
• Review medication orders for accuracy, dosing, and potential interactions
• Provide clinical consultation to physicians, nurses, and other care team members
• Monitor patient medication therapies and recommend adjustments as needed
• Supervise and guide pharmacy technicians during evening shifts
• Maintain compliance with state, federal, and hospital pharmacy regulations
• Support medication safety initiatives and antimicrobial stewardship programs
• Educate patients and staff on safe and effective medication use
• Document interventions and maintain accurate pharmacy records
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support patient-centered care
