Speech Pathologist

Piedmont Healthcare seeks a compassionate Speech Pathologist to join our Healthcare & Medical Services team. In this patient-centered role, you will assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders for diverse patient populations. Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and rehabilitation professionals to develop individualized treatment plans, provide evidence-based therapies, and educate patients and families. Responsibilities

• Evaluate and diagnose speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders using standardized assessments.
• Develop and implement individualized, evidence-based treatment plans for diverse patient populations.
• Document evaluations, goals, progress notes, and discharge summaries in the electronic medical record (EMR).
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, occupational and physical therapists, and care teams on coordinated patient care.
• Provide patient and family education on communication strategies, swallowing safety, and home exercise programs.
• Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and care conferences to support patient-centered care.
• Maintain compliance with regulatory, ethical, and documentation standards for speech-language pathology practice.
• Supervise or mentor students or clinical fellows as appropriate and participate in staff in-services.
• Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and outcome tracking within the rehabilitation/therapy department.
• Engage in ongoing professional development and continuing education aligned with Piedmont's learning programs.
