Speech Pathologist

Job Description

Piedmont Healthcare is seeking a dedicated Speech Pathologist to join our Healthcare & Medical Services team. In this role, you will assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders for patients across diverse care settings. You will collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, develop individualized treatment plans, educate patients and families, and document outcomes. Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive evaluations of speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders
  • Develop and implement individualized, evidence-based treatment plans
  • Document assessments, goals, and patient progress in the EMR accurately and timely
  • Collaborate with physicians, nursing, and rehabilitation team members on coordinated care plans
  • Educate patients and families on diagnosis, home exercises, and strategies to support communication and swallowing
  • Participate in interdisciplinary meetings and care conferences
  • Maintain compliance with regulatory, licensure, and documentation standards
  • Engage in ongoing professional development and training opportunities offered by Piedmont Healthcare
