Join HCA Healthcare as a RN Pre Post Cath Lab and provide high-quality nursing care to patients before and after cardiac catheterization and interventional procedures. In this role, you will complete pre-procedure assessments, review histories and medications, initiate IVs, and provide education and emotional support to patients and families. Post-procedure, you will monitor hemodynamic status, manage lines and access sites, recognize and respond to complications, and coordinate discharge planning. You'll collaborate closely with cardiologists, anesthesia, and multidisciplinary teams in a fast-paced, patient-centered environment that promotes learning, safety, and professional growth.
Responsibilities
- Provide pre- and post-procedure nursing care for cardiac cath lab patients
- Complete comprehensive pre-procedure assessments and patient education
- Initiate IVs, administer ordered medications, and verify consents
- Continuously monitor vital signs and hemodynamic status post-procedure
- Assess and manage vascular access sites and respond to complications
- Coordinate with cardiologists, anesthesia, and interdisciplinary team members
- Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately
- Educate patients and families on post-procedure care and follow-up
- Adhere to infection prevention, safety, and quality standards
