REGISTERED NURSE

Frankfort Regional Medical Center, a leading healthcare provider in Kentucky, is seeking a Float Pool Registered Nurse to join our Healthcare & Medical Services team. In this role, you will provide high-quality, compassionate care across multiple units, including ICU, supporting patients and families in fast-paced, high-acuity settings. Responsibilities include patient assessment, care planning, medication administration, and interdisciplinary collaboration. Responsibilities

• Provide direct, evidence-based nursing care to patients in ICU and other acute care units as assigned through the float pool
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments, identify changes in condition, and respond promptly to critical situations
• Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team
• Administer medications, blood products, and IV therapies safely, including titration of drips per protocol and physician orders
• Operate and monitor advanced patient care equipment, including cardiac monitors, ventilators (as applicable), and infusion pumps
• Collaborate closely with physicians, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate and optimize patient care
• Educate patients and families on conditions, treatments, and discharge plans while providing emotional support in high-stress situations
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the electronic health record in compliance with hospital and regulatory requirements
• Adhere to infection prevention, patient safety, and quality standards, participating in performance improvement initiatives
• Float between units as assigned, quickly adapting to different teams, workflows, and patient populations
• Participate in ongoing education, competency validation, and professional development activities required by the organization

• Critical care nursing skills (ICU-level assessment and intervention)
