Job Description
StoneSprings Hospital Center seeks an RN Clinical Coordinator for the Operating Room to lead perioperative clinical operations and support safe, high-quality surgical care. The coordinator will oversee patient flow, staffing, scheduling, and adherence to evidence-based practices while serving as a clinical resource to OR nurses and surgical teams. Responsibilities include pre- and post-operative coordination, mentoring and developing staff, supporting regulatory compliance, collaborating with surgeons and anesthesia, and driving quality and patient-safety initiatives in a collaborative, patient-centered environment.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate day-to-day clinical operations of the operating room
- Oversee OR patient flow, scheduling, and staffing to ensure safe, efficient care
- Serve as clinical resource and mentor for OR nursing staff
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia, and interdisciplinary teams on perioperative care plans
- Ensure adherence to evidence-based perioperative standards and hospital policies
- Support orientation, training, and ongoing development of OR staff
- Monitor quality, patient safety, and regulatory compliance in the ORAssist with performance improvement, infection prevention, and documentation initiatives
- Participate in staffing decisions and workload prioritization for surgical cases
- Promote a collaborative, patient-centered culture within the surgical services team
